Project Scope: Supplying 611m of HOBAS CC-GRP Jacking Pipe, OD1499 SN32,000, PN1 Jacking Pipe.

Project Background:
Hobas CC-GRP pipes have landed in Brisbane ready for installation during one of the most ambitious rejuvenation projects undertaken in Brisbane’s CBD. Over 600 metres of OD1499 PN1 Jacking Pipe will be supplied by Global Pipe as part of the construction of a new sewer main during the large-scale building project.

Brisbane’s new entertainment and lifestyle precinct

A world-class resort development is being constructed that will put Brisbane on the map as a tourism, leisure and entertainment destination. Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will transform the CBD and river’s edge with an design that embraces Brisbane’s subtropical climate and celebrates the precinct’s Indigenous and European heritage with interpretive trails and experiences spanning the Brisbane River and ridgeline.

HOBAS CC-GRP products will be used during this project creating a complete, uncompromising system of the highest quality. HOBAS Jacking Pipe ensures consistent quality for critical infrastructure projects with difficult access like Brisbane’s CBD.

 

Project Background: This critical infrastructure will support the needs of Brisbane’s growing population and the expected growth into the future. Beavis & Bartels in conjunction with the tunnelling contractor Bothar Boring, will use trenchless installation methods at depths between 8 to 16 metres.

Project Planning:
Precise project planning and specification is the cornerstone of any project’s success and is critical in high traffic areas like this one, where access is difficult. Global Pipe’s Engineering team assessed the feasibility of using HOBAS CC-GRP Pipe systems for this project and created a seamless transition from planning and specification, to construction and project delivery.

Engineering and Design:
Our highly qualified in-house team of mechanical and civil engineers will provide comprehensive technical support, engineering and design services at all stages of the Queens Wharf project.

Manufacturing and Qualification:
HOBAS Pipe Systems are certified to international standards from ISO, TUV, EN, and ISO9001. To meet these standards, stringent manufacturing inspection and testing is carried out, including raw material qualification, stiffness testing and dimensional verification.

Supply and Logistics:
Global Pipe provided a complete transport, freight logistics, warehousing and distribution solution to supply the Hobas products.

Project Management and Supervision:
Global Pipe’s team of engineers will provide dedicated technical support throughout the project lifecycle – ensuring engineering challenges were dealt with immediately to minimise risk and maximise peace-of-mind for all stakeholders.

Training and Support:
