Details: Ichthys Onshore LNG Facilities Project, Darwin, Northern Territory.
Global Pipe has supplied GRE/GRVE pipe for the continuing construction of an 18 km onshore section of the pipeline – with pipe ranging from DN100 to DN1800mm.
Project Background:
An 890-kilometre pipeline joins the Ichthys natural gas field in the Timor Sea, off the northwestern coast of WA with the onshore processing plant at Bladin Point near Darwin which has been under construction since 2013. When completed, the Project’s LNG plant will be the world’s largest LNG processing plant and will cool gas from the Ichthys Field and transform it into liquid for transport. The plant will produce 8.9 million tonnes of LNG and 1.6 million tonnes of LPG every year for the life of the project – estimated at 40 years.
